Reflections of A Fulfilled Life….. A Time To Be Born: On July 26, 1946, a handsome baby boy was born in Galveston, Texas. He was named by his parents, Freddie Lee. A Time To Gather Stones: Freddie was educated in the public school system of La Marque, Texas, graduating from Lincoln High School with the Class of 1964. While attending high school, he was a member of the band, playing the Clarirnet. A Time For Salvation: Being reared in a Christian Home, Freddie accepted Christ at an early age uniting with Greater Barbour’s Chapel Baptist Church in Texas City. He relied on his Christian faith to carry him through the challenges he encountered in life. His Christian journey also included Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, Dickinson, Texas and Anointed Praise Baptist Church, Hitchcock, Texas before returning to his home church, Greater Barbour’s Chapel. A Time To Prepare for Manhood: Freddie enlisted in the United States Marine Corp. and served his country, receiving an Honorable Discharge after his four year tour of duty. He was employed with Union Carbide as a Master Welder until his retirement. Freddie accepted his call to the ministry of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ under the pastoral leadership of the late Rev. H. A. Ratcliff, Jr. at Greater Barbour’s Chapel Baptist Church. He attended seminary and received his degree from Conroe Bibical College. A Time For Marriage: Freddie united in marriage to Melva Jean Cunningham and to this union two daughters were born. He met Caroline Edwards in 2008 and they later united in marriage.. A Time To Join Those Who Have Gone On Before: On Thursday, January 12, 2023, Rev. Freddie Lee Hall answered the call of his Heavenly Father. Those awaiting his heavenly arrival are his mother and father who reared him, Lessie B. Hall and Claude Hall; his father, Blessed Phillips; son, Stelvin De’Wayne Maxey Hall; sisters, Rosie Hall and Barbara Clark; and brothers, Lonnie Hall, Michael Hall annd Robert Phillips. A Time To Cherish The Days Gone By: Remaining behind to embrace his treasured memories are his devoted wife, Caroline Norwood Hall; his beloved daughters, Montrell Hall Lewis and Shetell Hall; four grandchildren, Derrick Lewis, II, Jazmine Hansley, Ryleigh Webb and Malachi Holt; bonus children, Valerie Edwards, Larry Edwards (Sandy) and Darren Edwards; eight bonus grandchildren including a special bonus granddaughter, Jaspin Edwards; his siblings: Carrie Taylor, Shirley Foreman, McCoy Phillips, and Charles Mack Phillips; sister-in-law, Joyce Naborne; an aunt, Bertha Hall Irving; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family members and friends.
