Savannah Marie Evans, 75. entered into internal rest on June 10, 2026, peacefully with her loving family by her side, Savannah was born on February 10, 1951, in Galveston, Texas to the late Steven and Pearlie M, Evans. Her life was a testament to love, kindness, and an unwavering spirit that touched the hearts of everyone she encountered. Savannah's journey in education began at GISD public schools, where she graduated with the class of 1970. Her pursuit of knowledge led her to Prairie View A&M University, where her passion for learning was evident. Her career was as vibrant and varied as her personality. Savannah dedicated several years to Sea-Arama Marine World, She later went on to pursue a certification in welding and became a licensed realtor, showcasing her determination and versatility. Savannah also shared her warmth and kindness as a salesperson at Ei bands and later as a devoted childcare and home healthcare provider, roles in which she truly excelled by nurturing and caring for those in need. Savannah's hobbies included dancing, where she was known for her smooth two-stepping moves, cooking in the kitchen, where she often shared her famous Dirty Rice, a dish that became a symbol of her love and hospitality. Her kindness and compassion were boundless, and her ability to make everyone feel welcome was a gift that touched countless lives. she was predeceased by her loving parents, her sisters, Betty Evans, Barbara Wiggins and Lena P. Sims; her brother, Steven Evans, Jr.; her nephews, William Sims, III and Delmus Wiggins; and numerous aunts, uncles, and other family members who were dear to her heart. She is lovingly remembered by her children, Latonia (Nickie) Evans and Marcus Walker(Crystal), who were the pride and joy of her life. Her legacy further lives through her adored grandchildren: Jayvon Alexander, Leroy Williams(Valerie), Jamaal James, LeAnthony Brown, A'marion, Marcus, Jr., Marckel and Marchelle Walker. Sisters, Lorraine Womack and Beverly Evans. Bonus sisters, Connie Williams, Gwen Ball, and Yolanda Hubbard. Brother, Michael Evans. Bonus daughter, Lesley Cornett. 8 great-grandchildren. Devoted cousins, Clara Smith and Flo Galloway. Nieces, Vivian, Trina, Callie, Monique, Crystal, Chrissy, Ronnesha, Terri, Alkeisha, Jalisa, Raven, Myeesha, Ashley, Christina and Zoey. Nephews, Dwight, Anthony, Edmon, Ron, Cedric, StephenMichael, Justen, Patrick, Joseph and Terrance. Numerous Great Nieces, Great Nephews, Aunts Baby Ruth and Lula and Cousins whom each carry a piece of her loving spirit. Savannah Evans lived a life of love, generosity, and unwavering faith. Her legacy will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her. As we say goodbye, we remember her gentle spirit and the endless love she gave. May her soul find eternal peace, and may we carry her memory in our hearts forever.
