Bobby was born on February 8, 1960, to Jesse Ferguson and Erma James. He was reared by his stepdad, Richard Ferguson. Bobby departed this life peacefully with family and friends, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, cooking and service. Bobby lived a life marked by growth, dedication, and faith. At an early age he made the meaningful decision to be baptized, showing his commitment to his beliefs and the path he chose to walk. He went on to graduate from high school, a proud milestone that reflected his determination and drive. Answering a greater call to serve, he joined the military where he showed strength, discipline and honor. After completing his time in service, he continued to build a life through hard work and perseverance. He worked at the plant, giving his time and energy to provide himself and those he loves. Later, he took a different path and worked at Luby’s Cafeteria, where his warm spirit and kindness touched many. Eventually, he returned to the plant continuing his strong work ethic until his health began to decline. Even during his illness, he carried himself with quiet strength and resilience. His life was one of commitment - to his faith, hours worked and his journey – and he leaves behind a legacy of perseverance, humility and love. Bobby was a man whose presence brought joy, laughter and comfort to all who knew him. Bobby had a true passion for cooking, especially when it came to BARBEQUE. He found happiness in feeding others, bringing family and friends together with the smell of good food and the warmth of togetherness. Bobby enjoyed the simple pleasures in life – sitting around playing dominoes, laughing and creating memories that will never be forgotten. Bobby also loved playing basketball, always bringing his laid-back energy and competitive spirit to the game. As a proud fan of the Dallas Cowboys, he never missed a chance to cheer on his team and share that excitement with those around him. Bobby had a nonchalant spirit and spoke his mind freely, never pretending to be anything other than himself! Bobby was a hard worker, a family man and a living example of what it means to show up every day with grit, grace and love. His memory will live on in every story told, every lesson remembered and every moment shared by the many who were blessed to know him. Bobby is survived by his devoted wife of 40 years, Stacey Richardson; five children, Jordan Davis, Chelsey Davis, Marvis Davis. Curley Davis and Jeradye Davis; daughter-in-law. Jessica Davis; 15 grandchildren, Andreus, Cde’asial, LaCedrian, KaDerricka, Xalayamma, Amorah, Alaysia, Brylieyh, Jlynn, Jace, Ciara, Cammyrm, King, Marvin and Prince; 3 great-grands, Sakari, Theori and Sacred; two sisters, Brenda Ferguson and Denise Ferguson; three nieces, Shanice, Meka and Jessica; four nephews. Kendall, Michael, Chris and Kendrick; and a large extended family of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jessie and Richard Ferguson and Erma James; mother-in-law, Alfred Mae Davis; sister, Ethel Ferguson and two brothers, Alfred and Robert. His calm and genuine personality made people feel at ease and his honesty was something many admired. A man of faith, Bobby loved going to church and found peace and strength in his relationship with God. His faith helped guide his life and the love he showed to others. Above all, Bobby was a devoted family man. He cared deeply for his loved ones, always making sure they were supported, protected and surrounded with love. His presence was a blessing, and his love will forever remain in the hearts of his family. Though Bobby may no longer be with us, his legacy of love, laughter and faith and togetherness will live on forever he will deeply he will be deeply missed and NEVER FORGOTTEN!
