A divine blessing was given to the union of Willie D. Williams and Elizabeth Victoria Gray Williams on October 11, 1954 in Galveston Texas as they welcomed the birth of their cherished daughter Daphne Ann who would grow up to spread love and inspiration to all those around her. Daphne received her educational foundation in the public schools of LaMarque, Texas, where she discovered her incredible potential. She was a distinguished graduate of LaMarque High School, where she remarkably showcased her diverse talents. As a spirited varsity cheerleader and dedicated member of various organizations, she truly embodied the spirit of excellence. After graduation, she pursued higher education at Texas Women's University, earning her Bachelor of Social Work, and later attended the University of Houston, where she obtained her Masters of Social Work. While attending Texas Women's University, Daphne embarked on a life-changing journey by pledging into the sisterhood of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, a vibrant community that inspires limitless potential and fosters growth. Embracing her faith from a young age, she proudly accepted Christ and was baptized at Carter's Temple CME Church in Galveston, Texas, later uniting with Hunter's Chapel CME Church after her family relocated to La Marque. In March 1993, Daphne and the love of her life, Aaron Terrell, began a journey of love and devotion as they united in Holy Matrimony. Daphne embarked on her remarkable career journey at Health and Human Services and then later joined UTMB as a Licensed Social Worker in the Oncology Department at UTMB-Victory Lakes, inspiring hope and transformation in countless lives. With unwavering dedication, she poured her heart and soul into her work. In her free time, she actively sought out opportunities to make a positive impact, whether through volunteering, helping those in need, or simply spreading joy through her love of shopping, singing and socializing. On Sunday May 4, 2025 at Jennie Sealy Hospital in Galveston Texas, Daphne entered into eternal peace and entered her heavenly home to be with the Lord where love and joy awaited her. Those awaiting her Heavenly arrival include her beloved parents, Willie D. and Elizabeth Williams and numerous uncles and aunts. Those who remain and will forever treasure the memories of her life are: her devoted husband, Aaron Terrell; son, Bastille Haywood; brothers, Michael Williams (Pamela), Ronald W. Williams (Robin), Willie Rowe (Linda); sisters, Donna R. Williams (CJ) and Paula Williams (Zanthia); nieces, nephews, family members and friends.
