Obituary Martin Ray Britton was born on August 23, 1948 to Marjorie Britton-Green, who pre- ceded him in death. He was called home to glory on November 4, 2024. He grew up in LaMarque Texas where he attended school and graduated from Lincoln High School Class of 66. After attending school he decided to join the U.S. Navy where he served four before leaving and joining Navy Reserves. He worked at BP Amoco for 30 years. After 30 years of dedication to BP Amoco, he retire and focused on his family. Martin Ray met the love of his life Pamela Scott Britton and they were united in holy matrimony on July 9, 1971. Together, they built a family rooted in love, strength, and tradition. They raised two sons with their values, welcomed five grandchildren; two grandchildren who carried forward their legacy, and celebrated five great- grandchildren who added new joy. Their profound impact lives on in each genera- tion, a lasting legacy of love and perseverance. Lovingly known as “Pawpaw” by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren where he represented unwavering strength, boundless love, and a steady source of wisdom in their lives. He was the #1 fan of the Dallas Cowboys. He is preceded in death by his mother, Marjorie Britton Green and his grandparents Papa and Mama Britton. He is survived by his loving wife, Pamela Scott Britton, Sons Weldon (Tiffany), Waylan (Nitia). He is also survived by his grandchildren; Kamron, Jordan, Peytyn, Sterling, Taylor and two great-children Braylan, Lehlani.
