Randolph “Tootie” Simpson lost his battle to colon cancer and gained his heavenly wings on January 31, 2024 at home peacefully surrounded by his loving family. He was born on September 22, 1986 in Galveston, Texas to Lille Mae Simpson and the late Randolph Simpson Sr. He accepted Christ at an early age at Barbours Baptist Church in Texas City, TX then at the age of 16 he joined Hopewell Baptist Church and remained a member until his passing. Tootie attended schools in GISD until his high school years. He graduated from Lamarque High School in 2006. He started a career in the chemical plants at the age of 20 working at different plants throughout many states for the next 15 years. However his true passion was doing hair. In 2014 he followed his dream and graduated from COM with his cosmology license. He opened up a salon in 2018 to fulfill his dream in the beauty industry making people feel beautiful not only on the inside but outside as well. Tootie was the life of the party. He lit up every room he walked into. His energy was unmatched. He left a lasting impression on everyone he met from young to old. He loved to dance, dance and dance. He lived his life to the fullest with no regrets. He loved traveling especially cruising. His passport is overly stamped proving just how much he loved seeing the world. He loved to cook and bake cake/pies. He also loved to play cards especially UNO. We nick named him the uno king. He made up his own rules every game. His favorite saying was “house rules baby”. Tootie was such a loving and caring person. He would literally give you the shirt off his back. He always showed up for his family and friends. If you invited him anywhere he was there. He was a true genuine friend to many. He loved his family and we loved him. He was the glue that kept his siblings close making sure we had get togethers often. He was also the family mixologist making the best drinks. You can find him sipping on his favorite drink of choice Hennessy. He was also very outspoken. You knew exactly where you stood with him. He gave the best advice always dropping gems of knowledge. He was proceeded in death by his father Randolph Simpson Sr, paternal grandfather George Henry Simpson Sr, maternal grandfather William Casey Dixon, maternal grandmother Ethel Nunn Dixon, uncle William Dixon Jr and his beloved dog Diamond. Tootie leaves to cherish his precious memories with his mother aka his best friend, Lillie Mae Simpson, 5 siblings: Dannie (Valshonda), Tamika (Rodney), Tawana (Sean), Giorgio and Gabriella. Nieces: Kierra, Azia, Dazia, Malasia and Oaklee. Nephews: Aaron, Sean, Christian, Dannie III. Great nephews: Nicholas Jr.(NJ) and Rylan. Great nieces: A’rian and A’ria. Aunt Annie (Ray). Uncle Clarence. Cousins: Angela (Chris), Raynard, Ashley (Tiffany). His companion Chad Jones and host of close family and friends.
